Freemasons (Blue lodge)

In this letter to his brother and parents, Philip W. Miller, II, of Rehoboth, Massachusetts, describes his views on religion and justifies his decision to become a Freemason to his parents. Written while at Hillsboro, Illinois, and dated March 23, 1841. He also mentions that he is a Grand Master Mason in Hillsboro.

Letter from R. A. Humphreys to Staunton Lodge, No. 13. Dated July 24, 1875. In this letter, R. A. Humphreys informs Staunton Lodge that he is the agent in charge of selling James T. Hill's Masonic chart in the state of Virginia. Humphreys also reports that he is paralyzed from the hips down and is greatly in need of support by the sale of these charts.

Letter from the Masonic Employment Bureau to Washington Lodge, No. 3, dated July 18, 1911. This letter announces the creation of a Masonic Employment Bureau by several Masonic Lodges in the Seattle area. The objective of the Bureau was to “secure employment for worthy Master Masons of local Lodges, or sojourning” Brothers. Includes an envelope addressed to Washington, Lodge, No. 3.
