This blue booklet is the program of the funeral service for John Joseph Columbo. It features a poem in the beginning and a group of prayers. There are pages of signatures at the back. Interleaved within the blooklet are two prayers: the prayer at the opening of a lodge and the prayer at the closing of a lodge. At the end of the booklet are a couple of pages signed by Masons.

This funeral notice from Grand Master John Cutler, Esq., invites Massachusetts Masons to attend the Masonic funeral of Deputy Grand Master John Lowell, which was held at the Concert Hall located at Hanover Street and Queen Street. The notice is dated June 3, 1793, and printed under Cutler’s name is the name of Grand Secretary Samuel Colesworthy.
