Content Description

A death benefits certificate issued by Mount Olive Grand Lodge, Free & Accepted Ancient York Masons of Virginia, to Willie Douglass of Williamsville, Virginia. Dated June 3, 1918. In this document, Douglass purchases death benefits to be paid out in the event of his death. Signed by Most Worshipful Grand Master Chairman Doctor W. H. Benderson.

The bulk of the collection dates from 1945-1959.

Society Lodge Emblems Advertising Sheet made up of celluloid coated paper advertisement sheet with 16 polychrome panels, each containing an illustration of a photo/ emblem for various fraternal and sororal organizations. It reads "Chart No. 8/ SOCIETY LODGE EMBLEMS-IN NATURAL COLORS/ MADE IN 6 INCH, 7 1/2 INCH, 9 INCH DIAMETER ROUND, HAND PAINTED".
