Scope and Contents The calling cards have a few different formats. The simplest include the Masons name and location of membership. Most of them also include a Masonic emblem from the Knights Templar, the Shriners or others. The more elaborate ones often have multiple emblems and, along with the name and location, include the specific lodge(s) to which the member belongs. Some also include the Mason's rank. Scope and Contents

Certificate issued by The Presiding Officers of DeWitt Clinton Commandery of the Knights Templar to Robert Herne. Herne was appointed a Knight of the Red Cross, a Knight Templar, and a Knight of Malta. The certificate, issued on June 27, 1884 in New Hampshire, is written in black ink with a background of Templarian images around the sides.
